The Lorax, Oh The Places You'll Go!, Horton Hears a Who! ...hard to choose, but these are among my favorite books from the great Dr. Seuss. I adored reading these books over and over again to my children, and even today (after they've grown), if I find a Dr. Seuss book in my path, I have to stop and read it. His magnificent wisdom about life and authenticity are timeless lessons for children of all ages...from 1 to 101.
March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday and his legacy lives on through the pages of his books and this day is also marked as National Read Across America Day celebrated in schools giving children the opportunity to read his books, his wisdom...in the spirit of exposing children to the pure joy of reading.
It's never too early...and it's never too late to soak up the wisdom-filled quotes Dr. Seuss gifted us.
Today you are you!
That is truer than true!
There is no one alive who is you-er than you!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You're on your own, and you know what you know.
And you are the guy who'll decide where to go.
Step with care and great tact,
and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act.
Don't cry because it's over.
Smile because it happened.
