The thought of living an inspired life feels so good, doesn't it? It's uplifting, positive, peaceful...but is it realistic?
If you choose to look at living an inspired life with a new perspective...I know it's possible.
Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu were not void of bad days, yet their lives and their teachings continue to inspire us every single day. Everyday people look for inspiration on Facebook and other social media platforms. Wall word art with reminders to "Believe" and to have "Faith" or "Dream" is one of the latest trends for creating an inspired environment in your home. These are BIG SIGNS that inspiration is something we ache to have more of in our lives.
To be sure inspiration isn't only what many want to experience...but more and more, people want to know how to actively create more of it in their lives.
So what do inspired people do differently?
1. Acknowledge That Life Can Be Messy and Meaningful at the Same Time
Inspired people embrace what's difficult with a sense of purpose. A person living an inspired life knows that every experience is happening FOR them and not TO them. They know that there's learning in every experience and become greater and more aware because of it.
2. VIEW Practicing Daily Rituals as Personal Responsibility
Every day is a gift. Inspired people know this and carve out time that inspires them even more. It may include some or all of these things: meditation, exercise, hot tea or lemon water and a good (personal development or inspirational) book. This time is vital because it helps keep the momentum of positivity, love and peace as part their day. A ritual like this helps keep them open minded and less reactive when trouble strikes. They know that practicing a daily healthy ritual is taking personal responsibility for nurturing their energetic gateway for continued inspirational experiences in all ways.
3. Understand the Elements and Energy of Giving and Receiving
That's right...they're excellent at giving and receiving. They understand that both acts of giving and receiving are essential to living and moving with the flow of the Universe. They innately know that giving too much all the time depletes their own energy. When they give, they do so unattached with expectations and give because it leaves them more inspired when they do. They also know the difference between taking and receiving. Too much taking is draining to themselves and others leaving them feeling emotionally empty. However, when they receive they do so honored that the Universe is showing up confirming their positive energy and the good they're doing. They receive with genuine grace, gratitude and a sense of awe.
4. Don't Waffle With Decision Making
They know that leaving the energy of things undone and incomplete will ripple into other areas of their life. Once a decision is made (no matter how difficult), they can then move in the direction of action until completion. Like checking off a task on a "To Do" list, inspired people have the emotional strength to get things done, and do them to the best of their ability. On the flip side, they also know the power of choosing to say, "no" when they know that what's in front of them will not add value in any sort of way. Yes or No...they know that making a solid decision will ultimately lead to clarity and a peaceful mindset.
5. Know They Can Make A Positive Difference In The World
Making a positive difference in the world is not always easy, yet inspired people fearlessly do it anyway. Giving up, feeling hopeless, accepting that things can not be changed is NEVER an option for an inspired person. They know that one small act of kindness for one person is as valuable as helping the masses. They change the world, one person at a time and dedicate part of their life helping others either through volunteering or starting an organization or business helping others.
Inspired people make excellent leaders, entrepreneurs, friends and partners. They're highly creative and easily find opportunities where others may see blocks. If you know someone like this, treasure them and help them stay inspired and you, too, will expand your own inspired life.
